Biography
Joining McCathern in 2019, attorney Aaron Dekle practices with the firm’s Business & Commercial Litigation, Cannabis Law, Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Law, ERISA & Non-Subscription, Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Personal Injury, and Wrongful Discharge sections. Aaron brings a determined focus to his work and has immediately integrated himself into the firm’s culture of improving our clients’ lives through strategic thinking, innovation and legal acumen. He is admitted to practice in the state of Texas and all four U.S. district courts of Texas.
In recognition of his work, Aaron was named to the prestigious Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch list for Commercial Litigation and Litigation – Labor and Employment in 2023.
Aaron earned his JD from Baylor Law School in 2019, graduating summa cum laude (#3 in class). While there, he participated in the National Veteran’s Law Moot Court Competition, building his speaking abilities and courtroom presence. Aaron also served on the editorial board of the Baylor Law Review, where he was senior technical editor. While attending law school, Aaron interned for U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeffrey Manske of the Western District of Texas, further developing his legal analysis and writing skills.
Prior to law school, Aaron graduated from Pensacola Christian College in 2015. Earning a double major in history and political science, he graduated summa cum laude and was president of the Pi Kappa Delta Collegian social and service organization.
In his free time, Aaron enjoys spending time with his wife, fishing, working with his church’s youth group, and following the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys.
