Attorney Michael A. Sanchez is a Texas-licensed attorney and a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Sanchez focuses his practice on limited liability company (“LLC”), partnership, and corporate entity formations; mergers and acquisitions; exit strategies; income tax planning; succession and estate planning; and resolution of controversies related to those matters. He negotiates and drafts asset and stock purchase agreements in connection with business combinations.
Mr. Sanchez also advises on and prepares planning documents including wills, trusts, and family limited partnership / LLC agreements. Mr. Sanchez represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service and has significant experience in determining corporate- and individual-level, federal and state income tax consequences of business transactions on publicly-traded-businesses, closely-held businesses, and non-U.S. residents.
Mr. Sanchez earned his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Baylor Law School with an estate planning concentration. He earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Houston, magna cum laude, and earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.
During his corporate career, Mr. Sanchez held Vice-President of Tax positions with publicly-traded companies, including: Stewart Title Company, Live Nation Entertainment, Comfort Systems USA, Coach USA, and Keystone International / Tyco International, each of which conducted substantial international operations and each of which had annual revenues in excess of $1 billion.
