Biography
Paul Grinke is Managing Partner of the firm’s office at The Star in Frisco, Texas. He has broad courtroom experience on a national level, litigating and trying catastrophic event and complex commercial claims for over twenty years. Paul’s clients put their lives and businesses in his hands when it counts because of his personal and sincere dedication to their cause. He treats every client as if they were his own family.
Paul has successfully litigated high profile cases involving life-altering personal injury, burn, paraplegia, quadriplegia, and wrongful death. These cases arise from general negligence, premises defect, product defect, trucking, railroad and workplace safety. He is experienced in multi-district litigation (MDL), serving on the executive steering committees in lawsuits involving mass casualty events, such as the West Fertilizer Plant Explosion and the Astroworld Festival tragedy. In addition, Paul handles civil rights cases that are often high-profile in nature.
With respect to business clients, Paul has vast experience litigating commercial construction disputes involving allegations of faulty design and build, fire, water intrusion, roof and building collapse. He’s also litigated breach of contract, fiduciary duty, director and officer liability, and employment claims. Paul acts as litigation and trial counsel for the Dallas Cowboys Football Club and related entities on an array of matters inside and outside the courtroom, including class action, contract, injury and employment claims. Paul has also been called upon to represent the National Football League (NFL) with respect to claims involving contract, construction, civil rights, and weather-related events. Paul is frequently asked to represent local and global businesses in matters involving allegations of trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition, and violations of contract.
Paul is a frequent lecturer, teaching litigation and trial techniques in many states across the country. He is a member of the Texas Bar and the Federal Bar Association. In 2014, 2017 and 2018, Paul was named to the list of Best Lawyers in Dallas by D Magazine. Paul was named by Super Lawyers to its list of Texas Rising Stars in 2010 and 2011 and has been named to its list of Texas Super Lawyers every year since 2013. He is listed by The National Trial Lawyers as a Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyer in Texas.
Paul earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and his law degree from South Texas College of Law. He began his law practice in 2001 with international law firm Cozen O’Connor. Paul is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Western, and Southern Districts of Texas, the Northern, Western and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma, and the United States 3rd, 5th, and 11th Circuit Courts of Appeals. He is admitted to practice pro hac vice in both state and federal courts throughout the country.
