Biography

Donte L. Jones is an attorney in McCathern, Shokouhi, Evans’ Houston office, where his practice focuses on business and commercial litigationsecurities law, and intellectual property. He is passionate about guiding clients through challenging legal matters and takes pride in building strong, trust-based relationships with those he serves. Donte is committed to providing thoughtful, detail-oriented counsel and leverages his legal acumen to help clients find effective solutions to their most pressing issues.

Donte earned his law degree from Baylor Law School in 2021, where he distinguished himself as President of the Black Law Student Association, a member of the Mock Trial Team and Barrister’s Society, and a volunteer with the Baylor Law Veterans Clinic. He also completed Baylor’s Leadership Development Program. Prior to law school, Donte graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy. During his undergraduate years, he dedicated his time to supporting veteran-focused organizations, including The Mission Continues, Sentinels of Freedom, and the Wounded Warrior Project.

Donte has already built a record of success in litigation, including arguing and prevailing on multiple motions for summary judgment. His colleagues and clients value his attention to detail, unwavering commitment to achieving results, and insatiable curiosity for the law.
