McCathern Clients File Lawsuit Against Highland Park Village Security Guard

Dallas Managing Partner, Arnold Shokouhi at McCathern PLLC, was featured in a WFAA news segment about a lawsuit the firm initiated on behalf of their clients against St. Moritz Security. The legal action stems from allegations that Ronnie Smith, a security guard at a luxury watch store in Highland Park Village, covertly filmed women in the store’s restroom. Represented by Shokouhi, alongside attorneys Shane Eghbal and Jen Falk, two store employees have accused Smith of installing hidden cameras, with over 25 recordings discovered.

The incident has reportedly left the victims deeply distressed and traumatized, with Shokouhi highlighting the severe invasion of privacy involved. Smith is currently facing criminal charges related to the recordings. Furthermore, the lawsuit accuses St. Moritz Security of negligence for employing Smith despite his prior criminal record. Highland Park Village has denied any liability, pointing out that the incident took place within the confines of tenant-operated spaces. The case continues to develop, with further investigations and potential additional charges pending.
