Dallas-based law firm launches new Criminal Defense Section, spearheaded by Sarah K. Fox.
She joins the firm as Of Counsel after working as a Felony Prosecutor at the Collin County DA. Her work will focus on defending those accused of any state or federal crime.
Dallas, TX / August 2015 – McCathern, PLLC a Dallas-based law firm, is excited to announce that it will open a new Criminal Defense Section, led by Sarah K. Fox. Sarah has extensive experience in this area of law, most recently working as Assistant District Attorney in the Collin County District Attorney’s office.
In this role she will lead the path for McCathern’s Criminal Defense Section and open the firm to this new market. Sarah has formerly served as Assistant District Attorney on Felony trial teams, received and prepared cases from inception to trial, written and filed six appellate briefs for the state, served as first chair in dozens of jury trials, including first degree felonies, and assisted in training new prosecutors.

Sarah comes to McCathern after spending almost five years with the Collin County District Attorney’s office. Her experience spans a wide breadth of cases as she has handled every level of offense from traffic tickets to first-degree felonies.
Sarah is known for her presence in the courtroom and is well respected by her peers as a phenomenal trial attorney. While at the District Attorney’s Office, Sarah’s trial work was featured in publications such as the Dallas Morning News, WFAA.com, and the DMN Crimeblog.
She has a close working relationship with law enforcement, which allows her to bring the knowledge base and skill set necessary to honestly and expertly evaluate a multitude of investigations. As a former prosecutor, she knows how to identify holes in the State’s case and use those holes to get the best possible outcome for her clients.
McCathern’s Criminal Defense Section is equipped to tackle a variety of both State and Federal cases and we look forward to serving our clients in a new area.
