Attorney Danielle Chester joined McCathern’s Houston office in 2022 and focuses her practice on Business and Commercial Litigation, Business Disputes, Civil Litigation, Oil & Gas, and Real Estate Litigation. She is licensed in the Southern and Western Districts of Texas. Prior to joining McCathern, Ms. Chester worked primarily in family law and insurance defense for law firms in Houston and San Antonio, where she gained valuable experience with challenging litigation matters.
In recognition of her skilled representation of clients, Danielle was listed among the best family law attorneys in San Antonio by Scene in S.A. magazine in 2020, and she was listed among the Best Lawyers in San Antonio for Family Law by San Antonio magazine in 2021. Danielle was named by her peers to the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® list for Commercial Litigation and Insurance Law in 2024.
Danielle earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Auburn University and continued on to law school at Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where she earned her J.D. and a Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law in 2016. While at LSU, she spent her summers interning at a Houston law firm representing homeowners’ associations. In addition, she served on the LSU Trial Advocacy Board, working alongside lawyers and judges and honing her trial ability. She also competed in the American Bar Association Arbitration National competition. During the summer of 2014, Danielle had the opportunity to study abroad at the Université Jean Moulin- Lyon III in Lyon, France.
Danielle is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the American Bar Association, and the Texas Bar College. When not practicing law, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Juneau, and watching Auburn Tigers football. War Eagle!
