McCathern is excited to announce that Family Law attorney Erin R. Clegg of the law firm’s Frisco, Texas office has been named a partner. The two North Texas offices gathered on the afternoon of Thursday, September 22nd at the Frisco office for the announcement of Erin’s elevation to Partner five years after she joined McCathern.
Erin played a vital role in solidifying the Family Law section at the firm and its growth into one of the strongest practices in the region. During that time, Erin proved herself in handling all aspects of family litigation matters on behalf of her clients, including divorce, domestic violence, and cases involving Child Protective Services. She also further bolstered her expertise by becoming Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
“Erin has proved herself to be one of the hardest working and talented attorneys in our firm,” said McCathern Managing Partner Arnold Shokouhi. “Her energy and work ethic have made her a success both in the courtroom and the community. We are proud to have her as a partner of our firm.”
Partners from the Family Law practice also expressed appreciation for Erin’s contributions to the firm.

Prior to becoming a partner at McCathern, Erin received several outside recognitions for her effective counsel. Since 2021, she has been named by Best Lawyers to its Ones to Watch list for Family Law and she was named by Super Lawyers to its Texas Rising Stars lists in 2021 and 2022. Both of these recognitions involved nominations from other attorneys inside and outside of McCathern.
