McCathern is proud to have supported the recent 7th annual Builders Appreciation Virtual Golf Tournament benefiting the Orange County and Inland Empire chapters of HomeAid. HomeAid is a nonprofit provider of housing and resources for people experiencing homelessness with 19 chapters in 13 states.
Contractors in Collaboration, which organizes the golf tournament, is an alliance of Southern California subcontractors whose aim is to offer builders better rates and service on their construction projects. The organization created the golf tournament as a way of giving back to the community and McCathern’s Los Angeles office has supported the annual event every year since it began.
“McCathern and its attorneys have been proud sponsors of the Contractors in Collaboration tournament since its inception in 2014,” said McCathern Los Angeles Managing Partner Kelli Hawley. “We applaud Contractors in Collaboration for its efforts in fighting homelessness.”
With the challenges presented by the Covid-19 outbreak, the 2020 tournament went to a new virtual format and continued to get terrific participation. With the support of McCathern and all of the other sponsors, the tournament was still able to raise $40,000 for HomeAid’s Orange County and Inland Empire chapters. Since its inception, the tournament has now donated $205,000 to this worthy cause.
The team at HomeAid put together a video thanking the 2020 virtual tournament and all of its supporters for their contributions in this uniquely challenging year: https://vimeo.com/460796733
