Congratulations to McCathern Dallas Partners Arnold Shokouhi and Gregory A. Kline on being selected to D Magazine’s Best Lawyers in Dallas 2015 list. An elite group of top-notch lawyers in Dallas received D Magazine’s “Best Lawyer” honor this year. These listings were determined through a peer-review voting process with ballots submitted by thousands of local lawyers. The final list was determined by an evaluation from a panel of eminent lawyers. McCathern’s two selected attorneys are listed in D Magazine’s May issue and the firm is also featured.

Arnold Shokouhi currently practices in the area of commercial, director and officer liability, and employment litigation. Arnold also heads McCathern’s Banking and Mortgage section, and has extensive experience in the mortgage banking industry. His section handles everything from drafting mortgage documents to dealing with state and federal compliance matters for financial institutions and service providers. Additionally, his experience handling transactional matters has given him the ability to effectively filter through the intricacies of complex commercial litigation matters. Arnold has played a critical role in the litigation of multi-million dollar disputes between billion dollar corporations.Arnold’s experiences allow him to represent both small and large clients in the commercial and employment litigation arenas.
As Managing Partner, Arnold has overseen an 88% growth in the firm in 2013. He has spearheaded an expansion of McCathern that has seen office openings in Houston and Los Angeles. Arnold has worked closely with the management of the firm to expand the vision and brand of McCathern by increasing practice sections and markets sectors that have a synergy with McCathern’s existing business. Arnold believes in the firm’s slogan of “Improving People’s Lives” and attempts to incorporate that into every aspect of his management of the firm.
As director of McCathern’s transactional department, Partner Gregory A. Kline brings with him over 13 years of experience. His practice includes the representation of clients in banking and mortgage transactions, as well as the purchase, sale and development of retail, single family residential, office, multi-family, industrial, mixed use and raw land properties. In addition, Greg regularly represents local and national landlords and tenants in the negotiation and documentation of retail leases, office leases, industrial leases, ground leases and billboard leases. He also has broad experience in the formation and structuring of various business entities, including corporations, limited partnerships, limited liability companies and developer/investor joint ventures. Further, Greg maintains a construction practice including the representation of owners and contractors in construction and mechanic’s lien matters.
