McCathern Partner Ty Sheaks will be participating in the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) Venueconnect Virtual Conference on from 5-7pm CST on Monday, October 26th. Ty will join other experts on a panel in the “Health, Safety & Security Thought Leadership Forum”.
The panel discussion is designed to “better equip venues to prepare and mitigate the risks in a post-Covid-19 world” and will include discussions on “legal issues, health and security measures, analyzing strategic human resource issues, and the implementation of a venue accreditation program on sanitization and deep cleaning.”
In addition to Ty, the expert panel at Venueconnect will include:
- Brandon Wales, Executive Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)
- Akmal Ali, Founder/CEO of Aluma and past Deputy Director of the SAFETY Act Office of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security
- Amber Clayton, Knowledge Center Director at the Society for Human Resource Management
- Gavin McGreggor-Skinner, Assistant Professor, Department of Public Health Sciences at Penn State University
Ty Sheaks is a faculty member of the IAVM’s annual Academy for Venue Safety & Security (AVSS) conference and is a frequent speaker on legal issues affecting the restaurant, hospitality, and event and venue management industries.
