ATTORNEYS LEVI G. McCATHERN, II & SHANE EGHBAL OF MCCATHERN LAW FIRM SEEK JUSTICE FOR THEIR CLIENT, VICTIM OF AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON BY TITANS’ STAR CORNERBACK, L’JARIUS SNEED

Levi G. McCathern, II and Shane Eghbal of McCathern Law Firm have been retained as legal counsel for Christian Nshimiyimana in a civil lawsuit filed on February 20, 2025, in Dallas County, County Court at Law No. 4. The lawsuit arises from the unprovoked aggravated assault of Christian Nshimiyimana with a deadly weapon by Tennessee Titans’ star cornerback, L’Jarius Sneed, and his personal assistant.

The incident occurred on Friday, December 6, 2024, outside One Legacy Motors, a high-end car dealership in Carrollton, TX. Christian was visiting the dealership to view the vehicles on display when Mr. Sneed and his assistant arrived at the location. Several minutes later, Christian was seated in the front passenger seat of a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon parked on dealership’s lot. At this time, Mr. Sneed and his assistant, who had recently exited the dealership, pulled alongside Christian in a black Lamborghini Urus, rented by Mr. Sneed, and opened fire with a firearm, on the G-Wagon with Christian still inside. Multiple bullets hit the G-Wagon, in the front passenger door, clearly aiming for Christian. Multiple other rounds hit the building of One Legacy Motors, which was positioned behind the vehicle in the direction from which the shots were fired. Mr. Sneed’s Lamborghini sped off immediately after the shooting.

In a statement, Christian’s attorney Levi McCathern raised the question: “Why did this two-time Super Bowl-winning athlete target Christian? Someone he doesn’t even know, and someone who didn’t even recognize who Mr. Sneed was. Regardless, the unprovoked aggravated assault of my client with a deadly weapon is part of a pattern of behavior for Mr. Sneed, and he must be held responsible for his actions so they do not happen again.”

“Whether he mistook Christian for someone else does not change that Mr. Sneed is guilty. In fact, it may even further demonstrate his reckless behavior—to commit aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on someone you may ‘think’ is the person you are targeting.”

Fortunately, neither Christian nor any other individuals were struck by any bullets from the shooting. Unfortunately, Mr. Sneed and his accomplice, who were arrested by the Carrollton Police Department for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after the shooting, have yet to answer for their crime. In the hours and days immediately following the shooting, on separate occasions, Mr. Sneed and a woman who identified herself as Mr. Sneed’s mother called, harassed, and threatened Christian in an apparent attempt to discourage his cooperation with law enforcement and retention of legal counsel. How they obtained his phone number remains unknown.

“The proof is there,” Levi McCathern continued. “There is video surveillance from the dealership showing the car and the person who opened fire on Christian. We want to know why this happened. We’re thankful no one was shot, but we continue to search for the reason behind this incident.”

Lastly, Levi McCathern added: “After filing this lawsuit, we reached out to the Tennessee Titans regarding this incident involving their star player and got no response. It is clear that the Titans manage their players off the field just as they do on the field. No wonder they were the worst team in the NFL last year.”
