McCathern’s Houston office was recently recognized as a “100% Membership Firm” within the Houston Young Lawyers Association (HYLA). This honor is achieved when a firm has all of its eligible attorneys become a member of the Houston Young Lawyers Association. HYLA is one of Houston’s local bar associations with a membership of nearly 2,000+ young lawyers who are 36 years old or younger or who have been licensed less than 5 years.
Eligible McCathern attorneys were encouraged to join HYLA and achieve 100% membership status by McCathern Houston attorney, Veronica Montemayor. Veronica is currently serving as HYLA’s Treasurer and was elected to HYLA’s Board of Directors in 2015. She has taken on an active leadership role as she’s transitioned from director to officer. Veronica appreciates HYLA for helping her grow her network and be more outspoken. The other Houston associates have followed suit by attending HYLA networking events and joining committees. McCathern attorneys Amanda Gordon, Brittené Wilson, Eric Utermohlen, and Nicholas Zugaro are also members of HYLA.
