Today on October 1st, 2020, McCathern is celebrating 22 years of outstanding legal practice. Over the past year, McCathern’s attorneys and staff have continued to build on our legacy of providing excellent legal services and building lasting partnerships, all while upholding our simple but lofty mission of “Improving People’s Lives”.
McCathern was founded on October 1, 1998 and has seen tremendous change since the day it first opened for business. The past year was certainly no different, with the nearly unprecedented challenge of the Covid-19 outbreak affecting all of us. One thing that has never changed, however, is the persistent quality of the people at McCathern and our relentless passion for providing the best service to our clients.
Among many achievements at McCathern over the past year:
- Partner Ty Sheaks was published in the Dallas Bar Association’s “Headnotes”
- Arnold Shokouhi was a named a Texas Trailblazer by Texas Lawyer Magazine
- Stephanie Almeter was named to D Magazine’s 2020 Best Lawyers Under 40 List and Ty Sheaks was named to their Best Lawyers in Dallas list
- Family Law attorney Erin Clegg passed the Texas Board of Legal Specialization for Family Law
- Ty Sheaks and Joey Sampson presented at the Academy for Venue Safety & Security conference
- Adam Mehr joined the Los Angeles office to lead the firm’s Media & Entertainment practice and his client CJ Entertainment has a huge win with its hit film “Parasite”
- McCathern launched a Coronavirus legal task force to help provide clients with up to date assistance with the Covid-19 pandemic
- McCathern was featured in Local Profile Magazine’s Family Law and Collin County Top Lawyers editions
- Stephanie Almeter was named to the annual Texas A&M 12 Under 12 Young Alumni Spotlight
- Arnold Shokouhi was interviewed in Lawyer Monthly Magazine
- Frisco attorney Samuel King was named a partner at the firm
